Work With Me
Specialised treatment for chronic constipation, SIBO, and complex gut health issues
I help people who are tired of being told to "just eat more fibre, drink more water, and exercise" - people who've tried everything and are still struggling.
If you're dealing with chronic constipation, SIBO, or gut issues that won't budge, I can help you find the root cause and get lasting relief.
As a gut health naturopath, I combine advanced microbiome testing with personalised chronic constipation treatment protocols for lasting results.
Why Work With Me for Chronic Constipation, SIBO & Complex Gut Health?
I'm a degree-qualified naturopath - not someone who completed a weekend course online. I also hold advanced certification as a Healthy Gut Practitioner through Dr. Jason Hawrelak's prestigious GIT Fellowship Program, was admitted to the University of Tasmania Roll of Excellence 2024 for academic performance in Complementary Medicines, and won the 2021 BioCeuticals Integrative Medicine Award for Clinical Excellence.
My approach combines:
- Evidence-based functional medicine testing (SIBO breath tests, comprehensive stool analysis, thyroid panels)
- Root-cause investigation - not just symptom management
- Personalised protocols tailored to YOUR specific situation
- Ongoing support and protocol adjustments
- Online consultations - work with me from anywhere in Australia or internationally
I specialise in the complex cases - the ones where you've already tried fibre supplements, probiotics, and magnesium without success. I dig deeper to find out WHY your gut isn't moving properly, especially when dealing with stubborn chronic constipation that hasn't responded to conventional approaches, and magnesium without success. I dig deeper to find out WHY your gut isn't moving properly.
How We Can Work Together
Initial Consultation (75 minutes)
Your first appointment is a comprehensive deep-dive into your health history and symptoms. Before we meet, you'll complete a detailed Health Appraisal Questionnaire and send me any recent blood work or lab results you have on hand. This allows me to hit the ground running and make the most of our time together.
During your initial consultation, we'll discuss:
- Your complete health history and timeline
- Current symptoms and how they're affecting your daily life
- Everything you've already tried (and why it didn't work)
- My analysis of your questionnaire and any lab results
- Recommended functional testing options to identify root causes (SIBO breath test, comprehensive stool analysis, thyroid panels, etc.)
- Your personalised starting protocol
After our session, I'll spend time thoroughly reviewing all the information we discussed, alongside your questionnaire. I'll then create your comprehensive "Report of Findings" - a detailed overview of what's going on in your body, why you're experiencing certain symptoms, and the steps we can take to restore optimal health. This report becomes your roadmap.
Follow-Up Consultations (30 minutes)
These appointments allow us to:
- Review your test results in detail and what they mean for you
- Adjust your protocol based on your progress and feedback
- Address any challenges, questions, or obstacles you're facing
- Fine-tune supplements, dosages, and dietary recommendations
- Track your improvements and ensure you're on the path to lasting relief
Complex gut issues like chronic constipation take time to heal properly. Depending on your situation, we may work together for several months to a year or more to achieve lasting results and address root causes thoroughly.

Who I Work With
I specialise in helping people with:
Chronic Constipation
You're going less than once per day, dealing with hard or painful stools (Type 1-2 on the Bristol Stool Chart), and feel like you're never fully empty. You've been told to "just eat more fibre" but it hasn't helped - or made things worse.
SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth)
Especially methane-dominant SIBO that causes severe bloating, constipation, and that uncomfortable "pregnant belly" feeling hours after eating.
Slow Gut Transit Time
Your gut transit time test shows it's taking longer than 36 hours for food to move through your system, and you want to understand why and fix it.
Complex Gut Issues That Won't Budge
You've tried probiotics, magnesium, digestive enzymes, elimination diets - everything your GP or naturopath suggested - and you're still struggling. You're ready for deeper investigation into root causes like microbiome dysbiosis, pelvic floor dysfunction, nervous system dysregulation, or thyroid issues.
You're a good fit if:
- You're ready to commit to comprehensive testing and protocols
- You understand that healing takes time (not a quick fix)
- You're willing to make dietary and lifestyle changes
- You want a practitioner who digs deep and investigates root causes
- You're looking for evidence-based functional medicine, not pseudoscience
Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept health insurance or offer rebates?
Great news! Private health insurance rebates for naturopathy are being reinstated in Australia. While they're not available yet, they will be soon - individual insurance providers will be updating their policies to include coverage for degree-qualified naturopaths like myself. Once your fund offers coverage, I can provide you with receipts for claiming rebates. Check with your private health insurer for their specific timeline and coverage details.
Do you work online?
Yes! All consultations are conducted via Zoom. In special circumstances, I can also offer FaceTime or phone consultations if needed.
What areas do you service?
I work with clients Australia-wide and internationally. As long as you have an internet connection, we can work together.
How long until I see results?
This varies depending on your individual situation and the root causes we uncover. Some clients notice improvements within weeks, while complex cases involving SIBO or significant dysbiosis may take several months. Gut healing is a journey, not a quick fix.
What if I've already tried everything?
That's exactly who I work with! Most of my clients have tried fibre, water, magnesium, probiotics, and various diets without success. My approach is to investigate the deeper root causes - testing for SIBO, comprehensive microbiome analysis, thyroid function, pelvic floor issues, and nervous system dysregulation. We go beyond the basics to address persistent chronic constipation.
Do I need to do testing?
Testing is highly recommended but not mandatory. Functional testing (like SIBO breath tests or comprehensive stool analysis) gives us concrete data about what's happening in your gut, which leads to more targeted and effective chronic constipation treatment protocols.
What's your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Changes made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will incur the full consultation fee.
