Healthy Jaffa Smoothie

Growing up I was a huge Jaffa Chocolate fan. In my quest to recreate all of my fave sweets and prove deprivation is not necessary when on a healthy eating plan I decided to make a Jaffa smoothie sans sugar and chemicals. The flavour comes pretty darn close except I am filling up on antioxidants, healthy fats and fibre which keeps me feeling full and gets my brain firing on all cylinders.

Ingredients

1 tsp cacao powder (I use organic cacao by 180nutrition)
½ tsp vanilla bean powder (I use organic vanilla bean by 180nutrition)
2 tbsp coconut cream
½ small avocado
½ orange (skin shaved off, leaving the white pith for fibre)
1 tsp tahini
1 scoop 180nutrition superfood protein (vegan coconut)
¼ cup purified water

 

Method

Blend all ingredients together and enjoy.

Add more water if you desire a thinner consistency. I personally love my smoothies thick like a paste or mousse.
